AWS Well-Architected Framework review (WAFR)
- Listen to the client's goals, requirements, and other criteria. Interface with clients across functional teams such as product owners, developers, database, networking, finance, etc.
- Develop organizational policies appropriate to each client for following best practices and meeting their cloud goals, while maintaining agile flexibility.
- Implement solutions in accordance with AWS's WAF pillars which include operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
Infrastructure Monitoring
- Implemented platforms such as Splunk and Solarwinds to create insight into infrastructure.
- Created custom KPI's to follow trends over time.
- Move clients into AWS Organizations to streamline infrastructure and billing, taking advantage of Control Tower, Config, and IAM for automation.
- Improve security through account segmentation.
Cloud Architecture
- Design performant and resilient architectures (event-driven with disaster recovery procedures).
- Set up IAM policies for least-privilege access, develop organizational policies.
- Documentation - Author schematics and tutorials, guide the long-term maintainers to success.
DevOps
- Create infrastructure-as-code powered CI/CD pipelines with tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Created processes with automated containerization to go from development > QA > production.
Project Management
- Collaborated in pre-sales engagements to identify goals and solutions, then scoping the correct internal resources to assign to the project.
- Keep the team organized, identify KPI's, track progress, report up, and lead agile/SCRUM meetings.
- Utilize Asana to build out projects, monitor workloads, and create automation when possible.
- Regulatory procedures and auditing - PCI, HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR, etc.
