• Manual operations due to software incompatibility cause unnecessary interventions, killing productivity and are heavily error-prone
• Owner is non-technical and therefore unable to properly manage IT vision, scope projects, and ensure accountability

AWS Well-Architected Framework review (WAFR)

• Listen to the client's goals, requirements, and other criteria. Interface with clients across functional teams such as product owners, developers, database, networking, finance, etc.
• Develop organizational policies appropriate to each client for following best practices and meeting their cloud goals, while maintaining agile flexibility.
• Implement solutions in accordance with AWS's WAF pillars which include operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.

Infrastructure Monitoring

• Implemented platforms such as Splunk and Solarwinds to create insight into infrastructure.
• Created custom KPI's to follow trends over time.
• Move clients into AWS Organizations to streamline infrastructure and billing, taking advantage of Control Tower, Config, and IAM for automation.

Cloud Architecture

Responsibilities

• Oversaw the architecture and development of app and website projects for multiple Fortune 500 clients.
• Managed a team of in-house developers and external contractors while scoping and prioritizing resources. Work with HR on candidate selection and conducting interviews.
• Interface with cross-functional teams including account executives, designers, copywriters, and editors.
• Lead day-to-day coding for the team. Typical projects consisted of websites, landing pages, emails, and analytics implementation/analysis.
• Handle analytics and reporting for client campaigns, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
• Advise and work with designers on UI/UX best practices. Teach colleagues responsive design, accessibility, and user-centered design principles. At that time, all creative staff came from the print industry, so this was a significant and long-term effort to shift their thinking.
• Lead and develop internal tooling for the agency. Projects included an itinerary system for client visits and a mass-email application, among others.

As the owner and primary technical lead of a digital services firm, I oversaw the end-to-end lifecycle of web and marketing solutions tailored for small business clients. My role encompassed both strategic and hands-on responsibilities - including business development, technical implementation, and long-term client support.

• Business Strategy & Service Marketing: Developed and executed marketing strategies to promote digital services, including SEO, PPC advertising, social media, email marketing, and local outreach. Regularly refined offerings to align with client needs and industry trends.
• Client & Partner Relationship Management: Built strong, lasting relationships with clients by providing consistent communication, high-quality service delivery, and post-project support. Negotiated partnerships and collaborated with third-party vendors when required.
• Sales Engineering & Technical Pre-Sales: Acted as a technical consultant during the sales process to understand client needs, propose tailored solutions, and define scopes of work. Produced detailed proposals and estimates based on technical assessments.
• Solution Architecture & Engineering: Designed scalable, secure, and maintainable web solutions, primarily based on LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Created custom plugins, modules, and integrations to meet unique client requirements.
• Full-Stack Web Development: Led the development of responsive, mobile-optimized websites using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (and frameworks such as jQuery), PHP, and CMS platforms like Joomla and WordPress. Implemented custom themes and functionality.
